Simple Sandwiches the Bongo's Way
We love a good sandwich in our house...who doesn't right?
So for our shoot last week we decided to make some for our lunches.
We're rather fans of a Smoked Turkey and Milimanjaro buttie so we thought we'd serve that. Thanks to Bongo's regular Mr Ben Hultum for his suggestion of Peanut Butter and ChilliJAmjaro sarnies. We were a little hesitant at first but, OMG (!!!!!) - they taste so good, and were polished off in record time! We have heard tell of an "Elvis Burger" with the following toppings: Peanut Butter, ChilliJAMjaro and bacon.................... I need this in my life NOW! we'll be trying that as soon as the BBQ comes out.
Enjoy the pics and don't forget to send in your own ideas and photos - we will post them for everyone to share!
Millimanjaro, the mild-mannered Indian chilli pickle made with fresh red chilli. Spicy with a mild taste of chilli it's our family friendly pickle and a good place to start!
We hand chop all our chillis in Bongo’s kitchen so that you get a crunch with every bite! Unlike other products on the market that use machines to shred their materials quickly, we chop all our red chillis carefully by hand and fill each jar to maximise our flavours!
Bongo's Heat - Mild (ish)
Perfect with cheese, curry, eggs, chilli con carne, sandwiches - we eat it with everything! Add it to burgers, sauces, use as a curry paste - see our recipe for Millimanjaro curry or have it as a marinade for BBQ’s - a spoonful a day keeps a cold away too!
Suitable for Vegetarians. Contains mustard.
170g net weight.
ChilliJAMjaro, a delicious hot, sweet and tangy chilli jam with a good kick at the end. Momma Bongo can eat it by the jar so we class this as a milder chilli taste - however it's a good heat that creeps up on you.
Amazing with Baked Camembert, salmon or roast lamb. You can even use it as a marinade - in our house it certainly doesn’t last long! (see our recipe for Bongo's Sticky Ginger Chicken)
